Welcome to Garibaldi Annex 

Garibaldi Annex, fondly known as The Little School with the BIG Heart is located at 1025 Slocan Street in a quiet, single family home neighborhood in East Vancouver.  There are three possible program streams at Garibaldi Annex: a full day Kindergarten to Grade 4; The Home Learners’(K-7); and The Vancouver Learning Network-Elementary

Garibaldi has established a number of partnerships within the community.  Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House, not only has a weekly family drop-in for pre-schoolers at Garibaldi, but also provides an out-of-school program where children are dropped off before school and picked up and delivered safely to Frog Hollow after school.  We are also grateful for the continued support from the Canucks Family Education Centre, VCC-Tooth Trolley Clinic, The Vancouver Public Library and One to One Volunteers.

Parents are actively involved in the school community through participation in a variety of committees.  Monthly PAC meetings are well attended and new participants are always welcome.  Check out the link to their website for more information. 

The Garibaldi Garden is an important part of the school community.  It has grown to include a planting bed for each class, a stone soup sharing bed, a raspberry patch, strawberry patch, a compost, tool shed, and a perimeter of interesting perennials.  Check out the link to the garden blog for more detail.  Guided garden tours will begin in spring.
